Our recently launched programme of Saturday drama classes has proved to be very successful.
It has been particularly nice to see so many children and their families in the building on what is usually a quiet day. The building feels alive and full of energy, with little ones running around and parents relaxing in the foyer reading the weekend papers and enjoying a cup of coffee.
We do still need a few people for our oldest class (13-15 year olds) which is on from 3:45pm-5:15pm every Saturday. This class has proved the most difficult for us to fill, as young people in that age range who are interested in drama probably also have lots of other things to occupy their time on a Saturday. The participants who have been coming along to that class have been great though and new people are joining every day. The next phase of development for our Kids @ Citz programme is to possibly run classes on a Sunday too. I am in the process of looking into the feasibility of this. Hopefully we will be able to expand this initiative even further to give more young people a chance to attend. Watch this space...
